NYU HONORS DINNER

BRIDGING TO THE FUTURE

In collaboration with Step Visual, we created a backdrop for the annual NYU Honors Dinner using hundreds of nails and one single strand of string, resulting in an image of a large bridge, symbolizing a path to a bright future.

The inception of this project came from the location of the venue, under the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, and the beautiful windows behind the stage at Guastavino’s on the East Side of Manhattan. We were challenged to create a piece that maintained the story of “Bridging to the Future,” while allowing the natural light of the venue to still shine through. The creation of this wall unit did just that - giving us shape and structure while still allowing a bright background to illuminate the space.
